Expressing an identity
PROJECT
Ampeleia entered a moment of evolution. The winery had reached a new level of maturity and needed its visual identity to reflect this transformation while reinforcing its positioning in the premium segment.
The project was conceived as a careful redefinition of the brand’s visual language. The aim was to refine and deepen the identity of the winery, allowing its gentle and thoughtful character to emerge.
The work extended across the entire visual communication system. Labels, packaging and website were designed as interconnected elements of a single narrative. Each component contributes to a unified language capable of expressing the winery’s philosophy with clarity, elegance and consistency.
The result is a visual identity that balances restraint and personality, translating the values of Ampeleia into a contemporary and recognisable design system.
DESIGN AND VISUAL LANGUAGE
Each wine is identified by a specific combination of symbols. Rather than illustrating the product, these elements suggest its character through a visual code.
The symbols come to life through hot foil stamping, appearing as luminous points embedded in the surface of the label.
These metallic details act like small constellations across the paper, giving rhythm and depth to the composition. The colours of the foils are carefully selected to reflect the character and story of each wine.
MATERIALS AND FINISHES
The labels are printed on Fedrigoni Cotone Bianco Sabbia, a natural cotton paper with a warm and slightly porous texture. Its tactile quality recalls the surface of soil, reinforcing the connection between the wine and its territory. More than a simple support, the paper becomes part of the narrative: a landscape where signs emerge and take meaning.
Blind-embossed horizontal lines introduce structure and rhythm, casting subtle shadows that give softness and depth to the surface.
The brand icon, rendered in glossy Braille, stands proudly on the label as a distinctive tactile signature.
